Eve of Nations

A few weeks ago, I attended the 50th annual Eve of Nations celebration here at OU. At this event, there was a fashion show along with a variety of performances from students in international organizations on campus.

This event was a great way to see a showcase of different cultures through clothes, dance, and music. The evening started off with a fashion show where students would wear traditional clothes from the country they were representing. Next, there were a variety of performances such as singing, dancing, and even creative performances like a shadow play. All of the performances were really beautiful and everyone who participated was incredibly talented. At the end of the night, the audience was required to vote on their favorite performance and it was so hard to choose a favorite! I was just excited to see everyone’s talent.

At this event I also learned that it was postponed for two years due to COVID. I was happy to see that it was back and definitely recommend students go to this event if they have the chance!
