The first international event of the semester was a festival put on by the International Advisory Committee where we had the chance to meet new international students attending OU this semester.
This event included games, performances, and a chance to connect with new people which I thought was really fun. As a student who has been at OU for the past 3 years, I thought that this event was great for both new and old students to learn from each other.
As current students, we were able to talk to the new international students about campus life, classes, etc, and the international students were able to tell us about where they are from, as well as what they hope to gain while they are here.
Overall, this event was a fun way to meet people, and was a great way to kick off the semester!
