A few semesters ago I was told about Peace Corps Prep which is a certificate students can receive in one of three sectors: environment, health, or community economic development. I chose to pursue my certificate in health as I am interested in global and public health. For this certificate, students are required to take a few intercultural competence courses, take a few semesters of a language course, attain sector specific skills, and attain professional and leadership skills.
Throughout my time in college, I was able to meet the requirements to apply for peace corps prep. The reason I chose to apply for this is because many of the requirements for the program were things that I was already doing. I thought that having this certificate would help for any future related health endeavors that I pursue.
