You’re oklaHOME

This event was planned for students who have studied abroad and was a welcome home event for us to talk about our study abroad experiences and how to incorporate them into our resumes and applications for future opportunities. This past summer I was able to study abroad in Puebla, MX through a pre-med/community health program where we were able to shadow in the public hospital, and take medical Spanish through UPAEP (which is the university there), and take principles of community health which is an OU course.

This was a really fun event because I was able to reconnect with all of my peers from my Mexico study abroad trip and tell everyone about what we were able to do, as well as hear about other’s study abroad experiences from their summer/previous semester. We also listened to a presentation by a Career Services advisor who taught us how to integrate our study abroad experiences in our resume, or interviews, and explain how we now can see from an international perspective, as well as have experience speaking a different language.
